Organisational development
Looking at the
whole picture.
Shaping structures, processes and culture so that good work and change become possible.
How I work
Organisations are complex social systems. Structures, processes, leadership, collaboration and culture interact – and influence how well an organisation can reach its goals.
That is why it is worth looking at the whole picture: what works well? Where does it get stuck? Which structures help – and which make work unnecessarily hard? How are decisions made? And where do similar difficulties keep appearing?
In doing so, we include different perspectives and make patterns and connections visible. Because a great deal of knowledge about what works and what should change already exists within the organisation.
As a process facilitator I bring the outside perspective, provide structure and ask questions that may fall short in everyday work. Imposing ready-made solutions is not my approach. We develop paths that fit the organisation and prove themselves in everyday practice.
The aim is a framework that supports the organisation in achieving its goals – and enables people to take responsibility and be effective together.
Possible topics
- Developing structures, roles and responsibilities
- Designing decision-making and communication paths more effectively
- Improving collaboration between areas and interfaces
- Accompanying change and transformation processes
- Translating strategy into concrete action
- Developing organisational culture and lived values
- Recognising and working on recurring patterns and tensions
- Strengthening the organisation's ability to learn and change
Possible formats
Organisational development does not have to be a change process lasting months. Sometimes a focused workshop is exactly right, sometimes development needs several stages.
- Strategy, future and leadership workshops
- Leadership retreats
- Support for change and transformation processes
- Project kick-offs, reviews and retrospectives
- Culture and values processes
- Facilitation of cross-functional dialogues and conflicts
- Large group and participation formats
- Individually designed development processes
How does organisational development work?
At the start we clarify: where does your organisation stand? What should change? And how would you notice that the development has been successful?
From this we develop an approach that fits the organisation. Instead of a rigid change plan, I work in manageable steps: understand, design, try out, reflect. What we learn feeds into the next steps.
This way we work on concrete challenges – and at the same time strengthen your organisation's ability to shape future change well on its own.
